We give the most weight to what happens after you've deposited, because that's where casinos really differ. Here's what we look at, roughly in order of how much it counts:
- How long withdrawals really take, by payment method, including any "pending" period before they start processing.
- When they ask for ID, proof of address or proof of funds, and how long it takes them to approve it.
- What changes once you're winning: withdrawal caps, extra checks, accounts being limited.
- Who licenses them, which company actually runs the site, and where you can complain if it goes wrong.
- Which RTP version they run on popular slots. Plenty of casinos pick the lower one.
- Which payment methods work from Ireland, and which of those you can also withdraw to.
- Whether support answers properly, or sends a copy-and-paste reply.
- Deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion: whether they're easy to find and whether they apply straight away.
- Offers, last. Only whether the terms are fair and readable. We don't score a casino on the size of its bonus.
Where the information comes from
First-hand experience of playing at the site, the casino's published terms, and checks we repeat over time. If something comes from the terms rather than first-hand, we say so. Every review shows the date it was last checked, because these sites change their terms all the time. If you spot something out of date, tell us.
What a good review doesn't mean
It means the casino pays out properly and treats players fairly. It doesn't mean you'll win there. Nobody wins over time; the maths doesn't allow it. Safer gambling and free help.
